§ 111.470. Definitions.

  • For the purpose of this article the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.

    "Garbage." The matter, substance, or waste resulting from the growing, handling, storage, preparation, cooking, or consumption of food, including animals (including fat and bones), fowl, fish, fruits, and vegetables, including animal and bird feeds.

    "Rubbish." Combustible and noncombustible waste materials except garbage collected from buildings or premises used for residence purposes. The term includes paper, rags, cartons, boxes, wood, sawdust, excelsior, rubber, leather, tree branches, yard trimmings, tin cans, metals, mineral matter, glass, crockery, dust, and the residue from the burning of wood, coal, coke, and other combustible materials.
