The owner, driver, or person in charge or control of a taxicab or other transportation
vehicle shall deliver to the person paying for the hire of such vehicle, if requested
by such person and at the time of payment of such fare, a receipt therefor, which
receipt shall show if requested, the point where such person was accepted as a passenger
and where discharged, the number of the vehicle and the name of the company operating
the vehicle.
