§ 111.561. Licensing.

  • A.

    Requirement. No day labor pool temporary employment agency shall operate in the City without first obtaining a temporary employment agency license from the city.

    B.

    Application. Any individual, corporation, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, or association seeking to operate a day labor pool temporary employment agency in the City may apply for a day labor pool temporary employment agency license through the office of the City Licensing Agent. The application shall set forth:

    1.

    The name under which the business is to be conducted;

    2.

    The location or locations where the business is to be operated;

    3.

    The name and address of every person with an interest in the day labor pool temporary employment agency as follows:

    a.

    A sole proprietorship, the name and address of that individual,

    b.

    A firm of partnership, the names and addresses of each member of the firm or partnership, or

    c.

    A corporation, the name and addresses of all officers and directors.

    C.

    Submission. Along with a completed application, any individual, corporation, business trust, estate, trust, partnership or association seeking to operate a day labor pool temporary employment agency in the City shall submit to the office of the City Licensing Agent a certificate of insurance required by § 111.564(A)(1).

    D.

    Inspections. No license for a day labor pool temporary employment agency shall be issued until the facility is inspected and approved by the Department of Public Service. After these initial inspections, each facility shall be reinspected at least twice yearly.

    E.

    Police Reports. The Licensing Agent shall obtain police reports regarding each licensed day labor pool temporary employment agency every six months and/or before renewing any day labor pool temporary employment agency license.
