§ 111.090. License required—Fees.

  • A.

    No person, firm, corporation, or partnership shall operate any carnival, fair, or similar business which offers to the public, for a fee, games of chance or skill for which prizes may be awarded in combination with one or more amusement rides, without first obtaining a license therefor issued by the License Clerk.

    B.

    A fee of fifty dollars per day shall be paid to the License Clerk at the time of application. This fee is not refundable for any reason.

    C.

    Any and all inspection fees shall be paid prior to issuance of the license.

    D.

    Any person, firm, corporation or partnership who operates any carnival, fair or similar business which offers to the public, for a fee, games of chance or skill for which prizes may be awarded in combination with one or more amusement rides shall have at least two security guards on duty during all hours of operation. Additional security may be required if the Director of Public Safety deems necessary. Penalty, see § 111.999.
