§ 137.14. Stench bombs.

  • A.

    For the purpose of this section, "stench bombs" shall mean and includes any vile, noxious, or offensive smelling or injurious liquid, gas, or solid, whether contained in a glass bulb commonly called a stinking bean or in any other device or type of container, which may be broken or from which such vile, noxious, or offensive smelling or injurious liquid, gas, or solid may be liberated.

    B.

    No person shall throw or deposit or attempt to throw or deposit, or aid or abet in throwing or depositing, on the property of another, any stench bomb which, on being so deposited or liberated, would molest, discomfort, or discommode another in the use, management, or conduct of his business or property, or which would molest, discomfort, discommode, or injure any person or damage any property.

    C.

    No person shall have in his possession or under his control any stench bomb with the intent to use the same, or with the intent that the same shall be used, in violation of subsection B of this section. Nothing herein shall be construed so as to prevent the possession of or use by the Police Division or any other police authority of tear bombs or tear gas kept or used for the purpose of apprehending or attempting to apprehend law violators.
