§ 150.04. Housing Appeals Board.

    The Board. There is created a Housing Appeals Board. The words the Board or Board, as used in this chapter, mean the Housing Appeals Board. The Housing Appeals Board shall consist of ten members, who shall be appointed by the Mayor, by and with the consent of Council, for overlapping terms of three years, and they shall serve until a successor is appointed.

    B.

    Members. Members of the Board shall be citizens of the United States and residents of the city. Five members of the Board shall be scheduled to attend each meeting. Three members of the Board in attendance at any meeting shall constitute a quorum. The salary of each member of the Board shall be one hundred dollars per meeting attended.

    C.

    Rules of Procedure—Quorum. The Board shall adopt rules of procedure consistent with this chapter and elect the officers as the Board deems necessary. The Board shall meet at such times prescribed by its rules or announced at a meeting. No member of the Board shall take part in any hearing or determination in which he has a personal or financial interest.

    D.

    Frequency of Meetings. The Board shall meet at least once during every month of the year.
