§ 190.107. Inspections.

  • A.

    Inspections for Enforcement. Inspections required for the enforcement of this building code shall be made by the Superintendent. The Superintendent may accept written reports of inspectors of recognized inspection services, if after investigation he is satisfied as to the qualifications and reliability of the inspection service under consideration.

    B.

    Structures and Buildings Inspections. All structures and buildings, and installations of fixtures, and additions, alterations, and repairs to existing structures and buildings for which permits are required by this Code, shall be inspected and approved before being concealed, used or occupied.

    C.

    Inspections of Progress. The Superintendent may, as he deems necessary during the progress of the work, inspect all operations for which permits have been issued.

    D.

    Material or Assembly Inspection. When deemed necessary by him, the Superintendent may make an inspection of materials or assemblies at the point of manufacture or fabrication at the cost of the permit applicant.

    E.

    Razing Inspections. Upon application for a permit to raze a building or structure, the Superintendent may inspect the building or structure to determine if it can be safely razed in the manner proposed, before a permit shall be issued.
