§ 197.101. General provisions.

Pools used for swimming or bathing shall conform with this chapter. However, these regulations shall not apply to any pool less than twenty-four inches (six hundred ten millimeters) deep or with a surface area less than two hundred fifty square feet (23.5 m2), except when the pool is permanently equipped with a water recirculating system or involves structural materials. Materials and constructions used in swimming pools shall comply with the applicable requirements of this building code.
