§ 197.109. Aboveground pools.

    Rails. Any swimming pool that is built above ground, less than four feet in depth, and that has a maximum dimension of twenty-four feet, may have a top rail of not exceeding fifteen inches on the inside of the fence or guard rail.

    B.

    Fence Height. The guard fence shall be not less than thirty-six inches in height.

    C.

    Decks. A deck of five feet by eight feet may be attached to the swimming pool through which the lockable entry stairs pass.

    D.

    Walkway. Any swimming pool larger or deeper shall have a three-foot walkway completely around the water.

    E.

    Access for Rescuers. The swimming pool shall be located so rescue efforts are not restricted by obstructions.
