Article 2. Signs and Outdoor Advertising Displays |
§ 197.204. Prohibited locations.
A.
Public Thoroughfares. No sign or outdoor advertising display shall be supported, braced, or guyed from or to a public sidewalk, street, alley, or public thoroughfare.
B.
Impeding Traffic Devices Prohibited. No sign or outdoor advertising display shall be erected so as to interfere with adequate view for safety of any traffic signal, blinker light, stop sign, warning device, or railroad crossing and approaches or to confuse those persons governed by these signals or using these crossings.
C.
Distance From Electric Conductors. All signs and outdoor advertising displays shall be erected so that all parts of the signs or outdoor, advertising displays, including cables, guys, braces, supports, and the like, shall not be less than thirty inches from public utility electric conductors carrying not more than six hundred volts and, with the approval of the Electrical Division, not less than thirty-six inches from conductors carrying more than six hundred volts. This provision does not apply to electric conductors which serve the sign or outdoor advertising display.
