§ 35.13. Bonds.

  • A.

    Bonds given by officers, clerks, and other employees of the City shall be given in the amount set forth as follows:

    Officers, Clerks, and Employees
    Bonds
    Mayor $3,000
    Director of Law $1,000
    Department of Public Health General Administration—Vital Statistics Supervisor $1,000
    Department of Public Service Director $1,000
    Public Utilities Bureau—all employees $5,000
    Customer Service Office—all employees $5,000
    Golf Course Superintendent $5,000
    Sanitation Service Division—all landfill employees $3,000
    Department of Finance Director $25,000
    Treasurer $50,000
    classified employees (all) $10,000

     

    B.

    The bonds provided for in this section may be surety bonds and if a surety bond is given, the premium therefor shall be paid by the City out of the incidental fund in the respective departments, and all bonds, except that given by the Mayor, shall be subject to the approval of the Mayor.

    C.

    Surety bonds, in the amounts required in this section, may be purchased in blanket form for all officials, clerks, and other City employees required to give bonds herein.
