§ 110.10. Loudspeakers on vehicles—Permit.

  • A.

    No person shall use loudspeakers on or within any vehicles on public streets where the loudspeaker is used in a manner to broadcast sound to persons outside of the vehicle unless he first obtains a permit.

    B.

    Permits for use of loudspeakers on vehicles for purpose of commercial advertising may be obtained from the City License Clerk upon application and payment of a twenty-five dollar fee. All other permits for use of loudspeakers will be issued by the Chief of Police upon application.

    C.

    Permits shall be issued without charge for use in advertising or announcing any nonprofit, religious, educational, civic, community, welfare, fraternal, labor organization, or political project, or for any use in religious services. Penalty, see § 110.99.
