§ 111.003. Registration.

  • A.

    Any ambulance service which operates ambulances as defined in § 111.001 on the streets of the City of Akron and is not exempt under § 111.002 must register with the City of Akron by:

    1.

    Submission and approval by the Licensing Agent of a completed and notarized registration form;

    2.

    Payment of a fifty dollar non-refundable registration fee;

    3.

    Execution of a consent form by the authorized representative of the emergency medical service organization or ambulance service authorizing random inspections by the Ambulance Inspector of any aspect of the emergency medical services organization or ambulance service including, but not limited to, premises, ambulances, validity of certifications and licenses of the business or its EMT-Bs, EMT-Is, EMT-Ps or its ambulances.

    B.

    Any registration pursuant to this chapter may be suspended or revoked by the Emergency Medical Services Advisory Board for failure to comply with any of the regulations enacted by the Ohio Ambulance Licensing Board, Ohio Revised Code Chapter 4766, the Ohio Administrative Code, any provision in this chapter of the Akron Code of Ordinances or whenever the Emergency Medical Services Advisory Board determines that the health, safety and welfare of the community is adversely impacted or threatened by the ambulance service. Any ambulance service or emergency medical services organization may be subject to fines or any penalty as described in § 111.009.

    C.

    No registration is transferable.
