§ 52.07. Scavenging.
A.
When garbage, rubbish, or recyclables such as plastic, metal, glass and papers have been set out on a public street or alley for collection, no person, except employees of the Department of Public Service or of a duly licensed and authorized private hauler, shall remove any rubbish, garbage, or recyclables. When rubbish, garbage, or recyclables have been set out on private premises for private disposal, no person shall remove the same or any part thereof without the consent of the owner, occupant, or lessee of the premises.
B.
Whoever violates the provisions of this section shall be guilty of a fourth degree misdemeanor. Penalty, see § 52.99.
